Student-run, city-rooted

KhanateMUN began in 2025 as the first Model UN in Khiva and in all of Khorezm. It is built by students, for students, and run by a team of Khiva Presidential School students.

Season 1 took place in August 2025 with three committees: the General Assembly, the Security Council and ECOSOC. It showed that a student-run conference could bring real debate, chairs from our own community and a proper diplomatic atmosphere to Khiva.

Season 2 followed on 22 March 2026 with four committees, including a General Assembly working in Uzbek, and ended with a guided tour of Itchan Qala, Khiva's old city. Every season is planned, chaired and run by students, and every season we aim to make it bigger and better than the last.
